Who we are
HBF Group is the operating name of 16504493 Canada Inc., a company registered in Canada, with offices at 2354 Major MacKenzie Dr W, Unit 400, Maple, Ontario L6A 1W2. We dispatch construction, emergency response and retail facility crews across the Greater Toronto Area.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through hbfgroup.ca, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It follows the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Only what you type into our contact form, and only the fields we ask for:
- Your name
- Your company or management firm
- The service you need and your portfolio type
- Your email address and phone number
- Anything else you choose to write in the optional message field
If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation.
What we do not do. This website runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking cookies. We do not build profiles of visitors, we do not follow you across other websites, and we have never sold or rented personal information to anyone.
Why we collect it
To answer you. We use your details to respond to your request, quote the work, schedule a crew, and keep in touch about that job. If you ask to be kept on file as a vendor contact, we keep your details for that purpose until you tell us to stop.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote.
Who sees it
Our own staff, and only those who need it to do the work. We share personal information outside the company in three narrow cases:
- With service providers who host our email and website, and who are bound to protect it;
- Where the work requires it — for example, giving a building's property manager the name of the supervisor attending the site;
- Where Canadian law requires us to disclose it.
How long we keep it
For as long as we have a working relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as tax, insurance and contract records must legally be retained. When that period ends, we delete it.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who handle them, on accounts protected by passwords and multi-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not keep payment card numbers, government identifiers or health information on this website at all.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Write to contact@hbfgroup.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Children
Our services are sold to businesses and property managers. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
